John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has emphasized the need for responsible and accountable leadership to address Ghana’s economic challenges.
Speaking at the launch of the NDC’s manifesto in Winneba, Mahama stressed that the country requires a reset in its attitudes to move forward.
He highlighted the importance of businesses progressing regardless of party affiliation, religion, or ethnic background.
Mahama emphasized that the country’s current state demands a government that galvanizes the efforts of all Ghanaians to achieve their goals.
He called for leadership that will crack down on appointees who engage in wrongdoing and respect citizens’ rights and freedoms, including journalists.
Mahama also highlighted the need to fight corruption by deploying the “Operation Recover All the Loot” principle.
According to Mahama, the country needs a change that will usher in a government that is responsible and accountable.
He emphasized that this change will open up the country for business again and promote economic growth.
Mahama reiterated that the NDC’s vision is to create a government that works for all Ghanaians, regardless of their background.
