Ernest Ofori begins trial period with Sweden’s Falkenberg FF

Ghanaian youth midfielder Ernest Ofori is undergoing trials with Swedish side Falkenberg FF as he seeks to secure a possible move to the club.

MyJoyOnline reported that Ofori, who captains Great Somas FC, has been in Sweden in recent days for an assessment period expected to last two weeks. The trial offers the midfielder an opportunity to impress Falkenberg FF and pursue a move to Scandinavian football.

The prospective move is being handled under the guidance of One World Sports Management, the report said. A social-media post shared on 17 July by Sammy Anim Addo also congratulated Ofori and members of the management team on the opportunity.

Youth international experience

Ofori has previously featured in Ghana’s youth-football set-up. He was part of a Black Starlets squad coached by Laryea Kingston that took part in the WAFU B Cup of Nations hosted in Ghana.

He was also included in a squad under Prosper Ogum in Côte d’Ivoire earlier this year, according to MyJoyOnline. However, the midfielder did not make the final selection for the tournament in Morocco, where Ghana’s Black Starlets did not qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Falkenberg FF’s assessment of Ofori could provide the young player with a route into club football in Sweden if he is able to earn a deal after the trial period.
