“Hunger, Frustration Fuel Democracy Hub Protests” – Sam Korankye Ankrah

- Ankrah urges mercy for angry youth
The Apostle General of Royal House Chapel International, Sam Korankye Ankrah, has expressed his belief that the indiscipline displayed by protesters at the Democracy Hub was driven by hunger and frustration prevalent in the country.
This comes in the wake of an Accra Circuit Court remanding approximately 39 protesters, who were charged with participating in various illegal activities during the demonstration. These individuals will remain in police and prison custody for two weeks before their next court appearance.
During a church service on Sunday, September 29, 2024, Ankrah spoke out on behalf of the protesters, highlighting the link between their frustrations and their behavior during the protest.
“They went overboard, but when somebody is hungry they become angry as well and so if you want to punish them for expressing their anger and the hunger also kill them and very soon we shall be losing all our young men and our young women,” he stated.
