Liverpool Still on the Hunt for Transfer Window Gems
- Slot confirmed club is pursuing potential signings
- Slot remains confident in his squad's strength
- Slot praised the performance of midfielder Wataru
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that the club remains actively pursuing potential signings before the transfer window closes.
Despite missing out on highly-rated Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi, who opted to stay at Real Sociedad, Slot remains confident in his squad’s strength and the club’s ongoing efforts to bolster their ranks.
“While our current squad is undoubtedly talented, we’re always on the lookout for players who can contribute meaningfully,” Slot stated. “Zubimendi was certainly one such target, but his decision to remain at Real Sociedad has led us to explore other avenues.”
Slot praised the performance of midfielder Wataru Endo during pre-season, highlighting his valuable addition to the team.
However, he acknowledged that the club’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, is diligently working behind the scenes to identify and secure suitable signings.
As the transfer window deadline approaches, Liverpool fans will be eagerly watching to see if the Reds can successfully bring in new talent to further strengthen their squad and challenge for top honors in the upcoming season.
