NEIP Directs Staff Not to Report to Work

- NEIP directs staff to stay home due to employment and salary issues
- Management cites unresolved legal and administrative issues
- Staff required to return NEIP property by February 25, 2025
The management of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has instructed all staff members not to report to work beginning Monday, February 24, 2025, due to ongoing unresolved legal and administrative issues related to employment and salary payments.
A press statement issued by NEIP on Friday, February 21, outlined that these challenges stem from complications surrounding staff employment and the payment of monthly allowances.
Following extensive efforts to address the concerns, management has concluded that the legal complexities involved prevent the use of operational funds for staff salaries at this time. The statement emphasized that all employment matters must be processed through the appropriate legal channels to avoid further complications.
“Until these issues are fully addressed, only specific staff whose services are required may be called upon to resume work,” the statement read.
The statement also instructed all staff in possession of NEIP property to return the items to the HR Officer by close of work on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. It further warned that failure to return the items would be considered as “deliberate stealing of such items.”
Management reassured staff that updates would be provided as efforts continue to resolve the ongoing situation.
