Elrad Amoako, son of the distinguished Bishop Salifu Amoako, made an appearance at the Juvenile Court on Friday, November 1, in connection with a tragic accident that took place in East Legon.

During the court session, discussions focused on the conditions surrounding Elrad’s remand, with the court outlining specific directives regarding his custody and care. The court ordered that Elrad be remanded and scheduled to reappear on November 7 for further proceedings.

To ensure adherence to bail conditions, the court mandated that both his Ghanaian and U.S. passports be surrendered and deposited with the court by Monday, November 4.

Additionally, the court directed that Elrad undergo a medical review at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on November 4. This review aims to address any health concerns that may arise while he remains in custody.

In case of any urgent medical issues during the remand period, the court has ordered that he be taken to the Police Hospital for immediate treatment to ensure access to necessary medical care.

The accident, which occurred in October 2024, resulted in the deaths of two young girls and left several others injured. Elrad, who sustained severe injuries in the accident, was initially treated at the Legon Hospital before being referred to UGMC for specialized care.
