Ghanaian musician and newly elected student leader Maradona Yeboah Adjei, known as Guru NKZ, has publicly expressed his support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, highlighting the Vice President’s digitalization policy as a key factor in his endorsement.
In an interview, Guru NKZ, who serves as the President-elect of the University of Ghana Students Representative Council, emphasized that Bawumia’s vision aligns with the need for innovative job creation for the youth. He stated, “The reason why we vote is because of the policies and ideologies of someone. If the world is going digital and someone says he wants to take me more into the digital world, I would support him.”
Expressing his desire for progress, he added, “I would not want my country to go backwards. If someone tells me my monetary issues aren’t sound and wants to implement strategies that will create more jobs, I’m on board. The jobs that will be created will neutralize the pressure on our falling currency, and I see the policy to be very effective. I will go with it.”
Guru NKZ underscored that his support for Bawumia is intentional and not driven by animosity. “So if you see me taking certain steps, then those steps were taken on purpose and not based on hatred. So tomorrow, if the policies work out perfectly, it’ll help all of us,” he concluded.
