Following the Lille game, Real Madrid will host Villarreal on Saturday before the international break. Courtois, who missed a significant portion of last season with a knee injury, has been a key player for the team this season.
Sunday’s match against Atletico Madrid was temporarily halted due to crowd disturbances. Courtois complained to match officials about objects being thrown onto the field by home fans behind his goal.
