Voting NDC in Ashanti Is Betraying Your Region and Nation – NAPO
- Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh urges Ashanti Region voters to back the NPP in the upcoming elections
- NAPO condemns the NDC for neglecting Ashanti’s development
- NAPO warns that voting for the NDC amounts to betraying the region’s interests
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the 2024 Running Mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged residents of the Ashanti Region to overwhelmingly support the ruling party in the upcoming elections.
In a recent campaign rally at Manhyia South Constituency, NAPO criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for neglecting the region’s development needs.
He highlighted former President John Dramani Mahama’s remarks, suggesting the region doesn’t value their efforts, and pointed out that during the NDC’s eight-year rule, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) failed in the region.
NAPO argued that supporting the NDC is akin to undermining the nation’s progress. He asserted, “Voting for the NDC is a betrayal of Ashanti’s interests and a blow to the nation’s development.
When the NDC was in power, the NHIS collapsed here, and their history of neglect is clear. If you vote for them, you’re contributing to our downfall,” he declared in Twi.
As the general elections on December 7, 2024, draw near, the NPP intensifies its campaign efforts.
