Northern Region to See More Progress Under NDC – Prof. Opoku-Agyemang

Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has assured the people of the Northern Region that the next NDC government will prioritize their needs.

Addressing a rally in Tamale on Sunday, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said the NDC values the support of the Northern Region and will reciprocate with meaningful development projects.

She emphasized that the NDC does not take the region’s support for granted and will work hard to create jobs through initiatives like the 24-Hour Economy and National Apprenticeship Programme.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang expressed gratitude to the people for their continued support and faith in the NDC.

She highlighted the NDC’s past achievements in the region, including the establishment of the University for Development Studies (UDS) and the Tamale International Airport.

The NDC running mate promised to address issues affecting Muslim communities, such as high Hajj fares and limited educational infrastructure in Zongos.

She announced plans to build three new Islamic Senior High Schools in the Northern, middle, and southern belts of the country.

Additionally, the NDC government will provide scholarships to Zongos and inner-city students, particularly in fields like law, medicine, engineering, and ICT.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang urged the people to continue supporting Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for Tamale South.

She concluded by reiterating the NDC’s commitment to the Northern Region and its people, promising a brighter future under the party’s leadership.
