The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has emphasized the crucial role of cyber security in the fourth industrial revolution. He highlighted the need for expertise to expose the various dimensions of cybercrime. Dr. Adutwum made these remarks at the inauguration of the state-of-the-art Cyber Security, Digital Forensic, Artificial Intelligence, and STEM Laboratory at Wisconsin University in Accra.
The laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge technologies, including advancements in artificial intelligence, and is designed to serve both academic and consultancy purposes. The Minister noted that the inauguration of the Cybersecurity and Forensic facility represents a significant milestone towards digital transformation and technological advancement.
He emphasized the need for educational institutions to be equipped with the necessary tools and resources to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. President of Wisconsin University, Prof. Obeng Mireku, stated that the university has consistently been at the forefront of delivering quality education by providing practical skills laboratories.

At the “AI and Internet of Things” lab, Lecturer Charles Babbage explained that they can develop and model automated systems with robots and AI applications. The inauguration was attended by security experts, vice chancellors, students, IT experts, representatives of banks, and security services, highlighting the importance of cyber security in various sectors.
