A recent graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Lois Abena Koranteng, was found dead in a hotel swimming pool while on a business trip.

The 24-year-old petroleum engineering graduate’s family is seeking answers after what they believe are suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

Lois was found unconscious in the pool by a hotel worker on the morning of June 8th, 2024. She had been on a business trip to Takoradi with her boss and driver, all staying in separate rooms at the hotel. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Lois was pronounced dead on arrival.

An autopsy revealed no physical injuries, and the hotel claims its CCTV cameras weren’t functioning that night.

The family is demanding a thorough investigation as questions linger about how Lois ended up in the pool and whether foul play was involved.

On Friday, June 7th, 2024, 24-year-old Lois Abena Koranteng, a KNUST Petroleum Engineering graduate on a business trip, checked into a hotel in Takoradi with her boss and their driver to spend the night.
