The remix of Camidoh’s hit single “Nothing Lasts Forever” has been making waves in the music scene, with fans and critics alike praising the contributions of featured artists. Among those receiving accolades is Coded, of 4×4 fame, whose signature chants have been hailed as a game-changer for the track.
In an exclusive interview with Joy Entertainment, Coded revealed that his involvement in the project came at the request of Camidoh himself. “I saw the future in Camidoh, I like him. He’s respectful and talented, so I told him anytime he needed me, I was ready to help him. So when he reached out that he wanted me on the song, I didn’t hesitate,” Coded explained.
When asked why he opted to contribute only chants and not a full verse, Coded clarified that Camidoh specifically sought his unique energy. “He had done the chants by himself, but later realized mine would do better on the song, so he asked me to do it for him,” he added.
Fans on social media have echoed Coded’s impact, noting that his chants consistently elevate songs to new heights. The remix’s diverse lineup, including King Paluta, Kelvyn Boy, Medikal, Lyrical Joe, and Beeztrap KOTM, brings an all-refreshing feel to the table, complementing Camidoh’s emotional energy.
“Nothing Lasts Forever” delves into themes of heartbreak and disappointment, drawing from Camidoh’s personal experiences. The song advises listeners to approach pain with logic, as Camidoh did during his own tumultuous time.
“I wouldn’t say much, but losing a partner I loved very much to a few arguments or misunderstandings hurts so bad,” Camidoh shared, emphasizing that the incident was not related to infidelity. He confessed to hitting rock bottom, battling depression, and undergoing therapy.
The music video, self-directed by Camidoh, has garnered significant attention, currently ranking No. 3 on YouTube trends.
