More NPP Members Will Vote Against Bawumia
- More NPP supporters want change than NDC loyalists
- Government's mismanagement causes economic hardship and regret.
- NPP divided, with members ready to vote against flagbearer.
- NPP supporters may vote for John Mahama in large numbers.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made a striking claim that more supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are eager for change in the upcoming December elections than even NDC loyalists.
According to Asiedu Nketiah, many Ghanaians, including disillusioned NPP stalwarts, now regret their decision to support the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration.
The NDC Chairman cited the government’s mismanagement of the country’s resources as the primary reason for the widespread economic hardship and discontent among Ghanaians.
Speaking at the Kukurantumi Chiefs’ Palace in the Abuakwa North Constituency, Asiedu Nketiah noted that there is a division within the NPP.
He observed that many NPP members seem ready to vote against their own flagbearer, indicating a significant split within the party.
Asiedu Nketiah emphasized that while the NPP’s actions have caused significant damage to the country, not all its members are to blame.
He stated that many Ghanaians, including NPP supporters, are blaming the party for the current woes in the country.
However, Asiedu Nketiah acknowledged that not everybody in the NPP is responsible for the country’s problems.
He attributed the woes to a few individuals within the NPP who have “made themselves mafias” and plunged the country into its current state.
Asiedu Nketiah concluded that NPP supporters are yearning for change more than NDC members, and if the NDC is not careful, more NPP supporters will vote for John Mahama than NDC members.
