A devastating fire swept through a home in Twifo Hemang Zongo, Central Region, claiming the lives of a mother and her three young sons.
The incident occurred around midnight on Saturday, leaving the family home completely destroyed.
Regina Ankomah, 35, and her children aged two, four, and seven, were unable to escape the inferno, which is believed to have been started by a candle during a power outage.
Despite the swift response of neighbors who called the fire service, the flames were too intense, and the family perished before help arrived.
The fire service is currently investigating the exact cause of the blaze, while the bodies of the victims have been transferred to the Twifo Praso Government Mortuary for further examination.
The community is in shock and mourning the tragic loss of the young family.
