Esther Osei to Run for PNC Women’s Organizer
- Esther Osei contests PNC National Women's Organiser role.
- Promises a "clean" and "respectful" campaign.
- PNC congress to elect executives and flagbearer on August 31.
The People’s National Convention (PNC) has seen a new development in its upcoming national elections, as Esther Osei, the current Greater Accra Regional Treasurer, has picked up nomination forms to contest for the position of National Women’s Organiser. Esther Osei has a rich history within the party, having served as the Constituent Women’s Organiser for Odododiodio in the Greater Accra Region from 2012 to 2016.
With her experience and passion for women’s empowerment, Osei is confident in her ability to mobilize the women within her party and take on the role of National Women’s Organiser. On Wednesday, August 14, Osei announced her intentions to run for the position, outlining her agenda and vision for the role.
At the heart of her campaign is the promotion of women inclusivity in politics, ensuring equal opportunities, and amplifying women’s voices. Osei emphasized the importance of women having a seat at the table and being heard, stating that she believes in the power of women to drive positive change.
In a departure from the often contentious nature of political campaigns, Osei has promised to run a “clean” and “respectful” campaign, focusing on issues and ideas rather than insults. This approach, she hopes, will propel the party forward and earn her the support of delegates.
The PNC is scheduled to hold its national congress on Saturday, August 31, where national executives, including the National Women’s Organiser, will be elected. The congress will also see the election of a flagbearer for the December 7 elections, making Osei’s candidacy a crucial part of the party’s future plans.
