Bawumia Will Be Launching Manifesto of Lies – Mahama Tells Ghanaians
- Mahama predicts that the NPP’s upcoming manifesto will be rife with deceptive promises
- He challenged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to account for past promises
- Mahama highlighted several unfulfilled pledges made by the current administration
Former President John Dramani Mahama has harshly criticized the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto, which is scheduled for release on August 18. He asserts that the manifesto will be packed with falsehoods, attractive but misleading slogans, and empty promises.
Speaking at a rally in the Agotime-Ziope constituency, Mahama advised Ghanaians to remain skeptical of these tactics, which he claims were similarly used during the 2016 elections to manipulate voters.
Mahama also challenged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to deliver on his previous promises, questioning the President’s commitment to transforming Ghana within 18 months of his 2016 victory. He criticized Vice President Bawumia’s failed promise to stabilize the cedi and highlighted other unfulfilled commitments, such as the One-District, One-Factory initiative and the $1 million per constituency development fund.
Mahama urged the current administration to cease making promises to fix issues that they themselves have created.
