- He urges recovery of misappropriated funds for national reconstruction.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has made a passionate call for Ghanaians to vote for change in the upcoming elections. According to Ablakwa, the need for change is imperative to ensure accountability for the actions of the incumbent government.
He emphasized that the current leadership under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has led to a “national decay” that requires a new direction. Ablakwa expressed his doubts about Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, being the right person to bring about the necessary changes.
In his view, Dr. Bawumia would not represent the break from the current quagmire that Ghana needs. Ablakwa stressed that the only way to address the current state of affairs is for Ghanaians to vote for change.
He highlighted his efforts in uncovering scandals while in opposition, suggesting that more issues would come to light if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) takes power.
Ablakwa agreed with former President Mahama’s assertion that a vote for Bawumia is a vote for President Akufo-Addo, implying that Bawumia would protect and cover up the current administration’s wrongdoings.
He emphasized the importance of recovering misappropriated funds for national reconstruction, stressing that billions of dollars in the wrong hands must be retrieved. Ablakwa urged electorates not to disappoint Ghana, implying that their vote for change would be a crucial step towards accountability and national recovery.
