Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has pledged to ensure the punctual disbursement of nursing trainee allowances, vowing that delays in payments will be a thing of the past.
Speaking to nursing trainees in the Savannah Region, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his unwavering dedication to ensuring that these allowances are regularly and promptly allocated.
“We’ve reinstated the allowances. While others may have revoked them, we are committed to maintaining them. I personally guarantee that I’ll closely monitor the distribution process to ensure it’s consistent and on time. You can count on me for that. We’re determined to bring about positive change in our country,” Dr. Bawumia affirmed.
In a separate gathering with nurses and midwives in Accra, Dr. Bawumia announced the imminent disbursement of GH¢177 million to settle outstanding allowances.
He assured that the funds would be swiftly transferred to the nursing trainees’ accounts once received by the Ministry of Health, ensuring they receive their allowances without delay.
