Newly appointed MTN Ghana CEO, Stephen Blewett, has expressed his commitment to fostering a stronger partnership between MTN Ghana and the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).

During a courtesy visit to the GJA leadership, Blewett emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two entities, acknowledging the crucial role the media plays in promoting MTN Ghana’s brand and building on the success of his predecessor.

He also highlighted the need to empower youth to develop their skills, citing the potential for Africa and Ghana to be at the forefront of technological innovation.

Blewett acknowledged the challenges faced by the media, including data limitations, and assured the GJA of MTN Ghana’s support in addressing these issues.

GJA President Albert Kwabena Dwumfour encouraged Blewett to view the media as a vital ally and to maintain a balanced and proactive approach in engaging with both traditional and new media outlets.

Dwumfour expressed hope that Blewett’s expertise and leadership would drive the MTN Ghana brand forward and pledged the GJA’s support.

He also requested assistance with obtaining an MTN merchant account, which the GJA has been seeking for over a year.
