Jah Lead Retracts Threat Against Producer JMJ

- Jah Lead apologizes for earlier statement threatening JMJ
- Regrets his words, citing personal struggles as the reason for his outburst
- Reaffirms respect for JMJ, clarifies he never intended to assault him
Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artist Jah Lead has publicly retracted a threatening statement he made a month ago regarding music producer JMJ.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Jah Lead explained that his initial outburst was a result of personal challenges, including the loss of a loved one and marital difficulties.
When questioned about his previous threat to assault JMJ, Jah Lead expressed regret, stating that he never intended to follow through on those words. He clarified his stance, saying, “Honestly, JM is my brother. I love him. I would never assault him. Emotions got the better of me, but I retract that statement. I’ll never assault him. I appreciate him for what we’ve gone through together. We can both move forward.”
The threat stemmed from a dispute over revenue from their collaborative song Lonely. Jah Lead had accused JMJ of withholding earnings and blocking the song on Audiomack despite its popularity, as well as pitching it to Boomplay without his consent.
Jah Lead’s apology now seems to signal a potential end to their public conflict, with both artistes moving forward in their respective careers.
