GFA Charges Dr. Nduom Over Alleged Violations of League Regulations

- GFA charges Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom
- Elmina Sharks owner accused of inciting violence
- Nduom given until Feb 19 to respond
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has formally charged Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, the owner of Elmina Sharks, for alleged breaches of the Division One League Regulations and the GFA Disciplinary Code.
The charges stem from an incident of violence during a league match between Elmina Sharks and Swedru All Blacks, which took place at the Nduom Sports Stadium on Sunday. The incident saw a referee being attacked in Zone Two.
Dr. Nduom is accused of entering the inner perimeter and the field of play without authorization to protest a penalty decision, thus disrupting the match.
The GFA further claims that Dr. Nduom incited Elmina Sharks players, officials, and fans to confront the match officials.
Additionally, the GFA alleges that Dr. Nduom used social media to intensify the situation by urging fans and club officials to take action against the referees, actions that led to the violence against the match officials.
The GFA has stated that such conduct is considered misconduct and brings the game into disrepute.
Dr. Nduom has been given a deadline of Wednesday, February 19, 2025, to respond to the charges. The GFA is taking steps to enforce discipline and maintain fairness within the league.
