On Friday, September 27th, Atunga began her day like any other, preparing her twin daughters for school. However, her routine was disrupted by a distressing call from the school, informing her of alarming news about one of her children. The concerned mother rushed to the medical facility in Utawala, where she was met with the heartbreaking sight of her daughter’s lifeless body.

A postmortem examination revealed that the child died from asphyxiation due to food obstructing her airways. Despite this finding, Atunga remains uncertain about the circumstances leading to her daughter’s death and is demanding further clarification.

The events surrounding the child’s untimely passing remain unclear, leaving the family devastated and desperate for answers. Atunga expressed her frustration with the school’s administration for not providing clear details about the incident.

“The postmortem showed that food had blocked her airways, but we are still in the dark about how this happened,” Atunga said, her voice filled with sorrow. “We just want to know what happened to our daughter. She was always so jovial, loving, and protective of her twin sister.”

The school’s administration, Mihango Primary and ECDE, declined to provide any statements on the development. However, they indicated that the matter is currently under investigation.

The police in Kayole have assured the family that a thorough investigation is underway. As the family seeks justice, the community is left reeling from the shocking incident.

The tragic loss of a young life raises concerns about school safety and the need for transparency in investigating such incidents. The family’s quest for answers and justice serves as a reminder of the importance of accountability and ensuring the well-being of children in educational institutions.

In the midst of grief, Atunga remembered her daughter’s vibrant personality, saying, “She was always so full of life, love, and laughter.” The family’s pain is palpable, and their search for truth and justice continues.

The investigation’s outcome will be crucial in providing closure for the family and addressing the concerns of the community. As the probe unfolds, the nation mourns the loss of a young life and stands in solidarity with the grieving family.
