“The Government Has Failed Us.. Big Shame” – Camidoh

Renowned Ghanaian singer, Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, popularly known as Camidoh, has strongly criticized President Akufo-Addo’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. In a series of posts on X on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Camidoh expressed his discontent with the government’s performance.

“The government has failed us…Big shame,” Camidoh stated categorically ¹. Although he didn’t specify which sectors the government had failed in, his subsequent posts hinted at the country’s economic struggles.

Camidoh lamented the harsh economic conditions, saying, “They clearly don’t care .. lowkey all this illegal mining shit may be all them.. The Ghana cedis weak af, Import taxes outta the roof yet the motor way is trash. Wtf chale Ghana is drowning!” ¹

He also reposted words from an X user, Sika Official, condemning the arrest of 39 Democracy Hub protesters who were arraigned and remanded for engaging in unlawful acts during a three-day protest. Camidoh echoed Sika Official’s sentiments, saying, “Walahi, this country makes me sick. Why are innocent people being taken to court for protesting against the same thing we are all suffering from?”
