Akua Donkor, leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Janet Nabla, the flagbearer of the People’s National Party (PNP), and Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah have officially filed their nomination forms for the December 7th elections.
The three prominent women, celebrated for their assertive and progressive political views, visited the Electoral Commission (EC) office on Thursday to complete their submissions.
During the process, Akua Donkor handed her documents to Jean Mensa, the EC Chairperson, reaffirming her commitment to addressing the needs of everyday Ghanaians and instigating significant reforms.
Janet Nabla praised the EC for reducing the financial barrier for women candidates but recommended further digitalization of the filing process to alleviate the associated stress.
Nana Kumankumah emphasized that the CPP is reemerging with strategies aimed at combating poverty and instilling hope among Ghanaians.
Their formal nominations mark their readiness to challenge the major political parties and present voters with new choices in the upcoming elections.
