Voting for Mahama Will Halt Ghana’s Progress – Akufo- Addo
- Akufo-Addo warned that electing Mahama and the NDC would reverse Ghana’s progress
- He emphasized the importance of maintaining the current trajectory of growth and development
- Akufo-Addo asserts that Bawumia is best suited to lead Ghana forward
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has issued a stern warning that choosing John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December 7 elections would set Ghana back into a period of economic regression and stagnation.
Akufo-Addo asserted that Mahama and the NDC lack new ideas or plans for advancing the country. He urged voters to reject their candidacy to prevent a return to past challenges.
During a ceremony marking the start of the Tema Motorway expansion project, President Akufo-Addo stressed the importance of continued progress and development under Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s leadership. He highlighted Bawumia as the most capable candidate to guide Ghana toward further growth.
Akufo-Addo emphasized, “Our aim is to keep moving forward, not to regress to an era marked by stagnation and inefficiency. With Dr. Bawumia, we are committed to advancing towards a more inclusive and prosperous Ghana.”
The President’s remarks were part of a broader message about the need for sustained leadership and innovation to build on Ghana’s current trajectory.
He argued that the progress achieved under his administration must not be jeopardized by a return to previous governance.
He further noted that the ongoing expansion of critical infrastructure like the Tema Motorway is a testament to his administration’s commitment to development. This project, he explained, is just one example of the progress being made and the positive impact of his leadership.
Akufo-Addo’s comments reflect a clear contrast between his vision for Ghana and that of his opponents.
He posited that electing Mahama and the NDC would undermine the advancements Ghana has made and disrupt ongoing projects aimed at national development.
