The National Democratic Congress (NDC) running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has urged Ghanaians to make informed decisions when voting in the upcoming elections. She emphasized the importance of considering the state of the economy and how it has impacted their lives and businesses.

Speaking at a durbar of traders at the Odorkor market in Accra, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang encouraged Ghanaians to be sincere about the performance of the current government. She invited those who usually vote for the ruling party to consider voting for change.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang explained that a political party is not like a family, and citizens are free to change their allegiance if they feel their needs are not being met. She emphasized that the purpose of voting is to achieve national development in all sectors.

According to her, any political party that fails to deliver on its promises does not deserve to remain in government. She encouraged citizens to make the right decision by voting for the NDC to guarantee the safety and progress of the country.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang advised citizens to be cautious of politicians who try to buy their votes with gifts and money. She encouraged them to take the money, but vote against those who try to bribe them.

She assured the citizens that former President John Mahama is a trustworthy leader who has the experience to navigate the country out of the hardship created by the mismanagement of the NPP government.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang noted that the NPP government’s attempts to discredit the NDC flagbearer have failed. She said it is now clear to Ghanaians who the corrupt and incompetent people are. The NDC running mate emphasized that her party will continue to be truthful to Ghanaians. She indicated that the mission of the NDC is to use its experience to get the country back on track.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang called for the support of all, especially traders, to return the NDC to power. She promised to reset the country and build the Ghana that citizens want together. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s message to Ghanaians is clear: make informed decisions when voting, and consider the state of the economy and how it has impacted your life.
