Edem Agbana, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Ketu North Constituency, has praised former President John Dramani Mahama as “the fixer” of Ghana’s problems. According to Agbana, Mahama has the necessary experience and vision to restore Ghana to a path of stability and growth.
He noted that Mahama’s previous tenure demonstrated a commitment to infrastructure development, social programs, and good governance. Agbana’s remarks come at a time when Ghana is facing significant economic hardships, including rising inflation, unemployment, and a struggling currency.
Speaking at a youth town hall meeting at the Ho Technical University, Agbana highlighted Mahama’s record during his presidency, particularly his management of crises such as the energy crisis (dumsor). Agbana argued that Mahama’s approach to problem-solving and his ability to make tough decisions under pressure earned him the title of “fixer”.
He believes that under Mahama’s leadership, the country can rebound from its current challenges and achieve long-term development. Agbana also highlighted Mahama’s vision for the future, which focuses on creating a more sustainable and equitable economy through investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
He emphasized Mahama’s plans to prioritize job creation and youth empowerment, including the introduction of the National Apprenticeship Programme. Agbana urged the Ghanaian youth to vote for Mahama in the upcoming elections, confident that he will bring hope and solutions to the country’s problems.
