YEA to Graduate 10,200 Skilled Youth

- They have successfully completed intensive training program
- YEA plans to launch a mobile application
The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) is set to empower 10,200 young Ghanaians with employable skills.
These young artisans, who have successfully completed a six-month intensive training program, will be officially graduated on August 27, 2024.
This is the first phase of a broader initiative by YEA to train a total of 20,000 youth in various trades.
The program aims to address youth unemployment by equipping young people with practical skills that can lead to self-employment or gainful employment.
The graduates have mastered essential skills in trades such as carpentry, beauty care, auto mechanics, and plumbing, among others.
The training was conducted in partnership with top technical institutions and experienced craftsmen across the country.
To further support the graduates, YEA plans to launch a mobile application to connect them with potential customers.
This digital platform will provide a marketplace for the skilled artisans to showcase their work and find clients.
The agency believes that this initiative will contribute significantly to boosting local employment and promoting self-reliance among the youth.
