Attorney-General Godfred Dame has emphasized the importance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) breaking the 8-year electoral cycle. Speaking at the Efia NPP campaign launch and inauguration of the campaign team on Monday, August 05, 2024, Dame stressed that breaking the 8 is crucial for Ghana’s future.

He clarified that the NPP’s goal is not driven by selfish interests, but rather a desire to ensure a better future for the country. Dame highlighted the need for a visionary leader like Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to guide Ghana towards prosperity.

He emphasized that the country requires boldness, clear direction, and vision to move forward. Dame criticized the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for lacking a clear vision for the country.

He questioned the NDC’s ability to explain their 24-hour economy concept, dismissing it as unclear and unsuitable for Ghana’s needs. Dame urged the electorate not to be deceived by the NDC’s promises, emphasizing the need for a focused party with a clear vision.

He praised Dr. Bawumia as a leader with a proven track record of vision and competence, capable of leading Ghana to the “promised land”. Dame’s comments underscore the NPP’s determination to win the upcoming election and continue their governance of Ghana beyond the 8-year cycle.
