NDC Supporters Flock to Tamale Ahead of Campaign Launch

Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have begun arriving in Tamale, the Northern Regional capital, ahead of the party’s national campaign launch scheduled for July 27, 2024. The launch, themed “Change to reset Ghana,” will take place at the Jubilee Park and marks the official start of the party’s campaign for the 2024 elections.
According to Elikem Eric Kevin Kwame Kotoko, the Second Deputy National Organizer of the party, Tamale is ready to host the event, with all necessary preparations in place. Kotoko expressed optimism that thousands of NDC supporters, sympathizers, and followers from across the country would arrive in Tamale by Friday night.
The launch is expected to draw a large crowd from the five regions within the Northern Zone of Ghana, with Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama predicted to pull an unprecedented local crowd. Mahama is expected to use the event to shed more light on his 24-hour economic policy and the $10 billion ‘Big Push’ plan to fix Ghana’s economy.
The ‘Big Push’ plan aims to create jobs, provide infrastructure for accelerated development, and fix the economy, while uniting against poverty and promoting good governance. The NDC also promises to prioritize healthcare, quality education, and skills training, while promoting human development and deepening international relations.
