Accra Hearts of Oak will clash with Heart of Lions in the upcoming edition of the Gbese Mantse Homowo Peace Charity Cup.
This annual friendly match is played to celebrate the Homowo festival.
This year’s contest features Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions, both participants in the recently concluded 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
The match is scheduled for Sunday, August 11th, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Organizers are determined to ensure a smooth-running event after last year’s Hearts of Oak vs. Great Olympics game was cancelled. To kick things off, a press launch will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd, at the Gbese Mantse’s palace in Accra.
This match comes on the heels of Hearts of Oak’s recent defeat to Asante Kotoko in the inaugural Democracy Cup.
