“Negative Criticism Doesn’t Resonate With Me” – Yemi Alade
Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has revealed how she handles negative criticisms and avoids controversy in the entertainment industry. Speaking at the listening party of her new album, “Rebel Queen”, in Lagos State, Alade explained that she ignores negative comments and focuses on living her life.
“I don’t think about it too much. I’m just living my life because it’s only one life I’ve,” she said. “Once I see or hear anything that doesn’t resonate with me, I look the other way and I keep it moving. Because everybody is entitled to their opinions.”
In other news, Yemi Alade has criticized the Lagos State government for its demolition of houses in the Mende area of the state. Alade took to Instagram to express her frustration, stating that the government is making life more difficult for citizens by rendering them homeless overnight.
“The ongoing demolition is ruining the real estate value of the state and driving investors away,” she said. Alade called on the state government to refund affected legal buyers the monies paid to the state government when purchasing their land.
