Socaloca, a groundbreaking football app developed in partnership with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has officially launched.

This innovative platform aims to empower local footballers by providing them with a platform to showcase their talents to a global audience.

Socaloca works by collecting and collating data on players, creating comprehensive profiles that include both general information and detailed statistics.

This data-driven approach is designed to significantly enhance a player’s brand, making them more attractive to scouts, agents, and clubs worldwide.

Speaking at the launch event held at the UDS conference room, Lionel Foy, co-founder of Socaloca, emphasized the app’s potential to benefit not only players, but also clubs.

By increasing player visibility, Socaloca can help clubs generate revenue through potential transfers.

The app has already undergone a successful pilot program in the Eastern Regional Division Two League, demonstrating its promise.

Following this successful trial, Socaloca is now poised for a wider rollout across various lower leagues in Ghana, with the ultimate goal of reaching the Premier League stage.

Socaloca’s arrival marks a significant step forward for Ghanaian football. By providing a platform for local talent to shine on a global stage, the app has the potential to transform the landscape of the sport in the country.
