Mzbel Vows to Relocate to Nigeria to Endorse Alcoholic Beverages Despite FDA Ban

- She plans to relocate to Nigeria for lucrative advertising deals
- Mzbel insists it's her right as an adult to make her own choices
Popular Ghanaian celebrity Mzbel has declared her intention to circumvent the Food and Drugs Authority’s (FDA) recent ban on celebrity endorsements for alcoholic beverages by relocating to Nigeria to pursue lucrative advertising deals.
In an interview with Nana Kwame Gyan on Onua Showbiz over the weekend, Mzbel stated that she will not hesitate to travel to Nigeria to advertise for alcoholic products, even if it means posting the adverts on social media for minors to see.
“I don’t know if the government will have to bring another rule that will ban us Ghanaians from going to other countries to endorse alcoholic beverages. That is when I will stand as a citizen because that will be my right as an adult,” she said.
Mzbel’s comments come after the FDA’s directive aimed at protecting minors from the influence of celebrity endorsements. Despite the ban, Mzbel remains determined to pursue lucrative deals with alcoholic beverage companies, even if it means crossing borders.
