Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has launched his ride-hailing service, Shaxi, with an impressive investment of over $2 million. In a live session with his fans, the musician shared his motivation behind starting the business, citing his desire to create job opportunities and support for others.
“I want to see my people, my fans, win in life. I don’t want to just indulge in personal luxury,” Shatta Wale explained. “The $2 million investment covered various aspects of the business, including app development, purchasing multiple mini cars, and promotion.”
Shatta Wale emphasized that he chose to prioritize the needs of others over personal indulgence, noting that the funds could have been used to buy luxury cars like Lamborghinis, Range Rovers, and Rolls-Royces. Instead, he opted to create a business that would generate employment and contribute positively to the community.
“Beyond my persona, I have enough love to share. I should be treated with compassion,” Shatta Wale said, highlighting his commitment to giving back to society through his business venture.
