Thieves Ransack NPP Constituency Office in Juaben, Steal TVs and Other Properties

A shocking burglary has occurred at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency office in Juaben, Ashanti Region, resulting in the theft of six television sets and other valuable items. The daring heist has left party officials and police authorities stunned.

According to eyewitnesses, the unknown perpetrators used a ladder to gain access to the premises, then broke into the reception area where they found keys to facilitate their entry into the offices of the secretary, chairman, and Member of Parliament (MP). The thieves seemed to know exactly what they were looking for, moving swiftly and efficiently to gather their loot.

The stolen items include six Nasco 42-inch television sets, which were installed in various offices and meeting rooms throughout the building. Other properties were also taken, although the exact nature and value of these items have not been disclosed.

The security guard on duty, Edward Kwame Okyere, has filed a formal complaint with the police, who have launched an investigation into the incident. “I was on my usual rounds when I discovered that the office had been broken into,” Okyere said in his statement. “I immediately alerted the police and they responded quickly.”

A team led by District Commander ASP Yvonne M. Asomaning visited the scene to assess the damage and gather evidence. The Crime Scene team from the Kumasi Regional headquarters, led by DSP Francis Nimo, has also conducted a thorough investigation of the office.

The motives behind the burglary are still unclear, but party officials are concerned about the potential theft of sensitive information and the violation of their privacy. “This is a serious breach of security and we will do everything in our power to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice,” said a spokesperson for the NPP.

The incident has raised questions about the security measures in place at the constituency office and whether they were adequate to prevent such a brazen crime. The police have assured the public that they are doing everything possible to apprehend the perpetrators and recover the stolen items.
