Talent manager George Mensah Britton has revealed that he is no longer managing Afrobeat sensation Camidoh. The two had worked together for three years, during which time Camidoh released several global hit songs, including the award-winning “SugarCane”.
In an interview with GhanaWeekend, Britton explained that their separation was amicable, citing the end of their contract and his relocation to London. “There is no bad blood between us… Our three-year contract has elapsed, and I’ve relocated to London, so I couldn’t find enough time to renew the contract,” he said. “I now do PR works for most of the artistes… I am also doing other stuff for myself… We are still friends, just that I don’t manage him any longer.”
Britton, who has also managed celebrated Ghanaian music group Keche, has played a significant role in shaping Camidoh’s career. During their time together, Camidoh’s music gained international recognition, and he won several awards for his hit song “SugarCane”.
Despite no longer managing Camidoh, Britton remains a respected figure in the music industry, known for his expertise in talent management and PR. His decision to relocate to London is seen as a strategic move to expand his business and explore new opportunities.
Meanwhile, Camidoh, known in real life as Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, has recently released a new single, “Nothing Lasts Forever”. The song, produced in collaboration with Nawtyboi Tattoo and Baba Wood, serves as a poignant prelude to his upcoming project. The track delves into the complexities of love and relationships, offering listeners a heartfelt message about the importance of applying reason and mindfulness in romantic relationships.
