On Friday, while participating in the free practice session for the Honda Junior Cup, a renowned youth racing event held at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo, Lorenzo collided and suffered serious injuries.
Deteriorating Condition:
Event organizers, SuperBike Brazil, confirmed the news. They revealed that Lorenzo received immediate medical attention and initially showed signs of recovery. Sadly, his condition worsened, requiring him to be transferred to intensive care on Saturday. Despite valiant efforts, Lorenzo passed away on Monday at Sao Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital.

SuperBike Brazil expressed their deepest condolences to Lorenzo’s family and friends, stating their profound shock and sorrow over the incident.
Lorenzo, affectionately known as “Lolo,” idolized three-time MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo. The retired Spanish rider shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing his grief: “My heart breaks… A very big hug to the family.”

The Honda Junior Cup caters to riders aged eight to sixteen.
