The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has revealed plans to unveil compelling evidence corroborating the claims made by the third accused in the ongoing ambulance procurement trial.

Richard Jakpa, the third accused, asserted in court on May 23 that the Attorney General had attempted to coerce him into falsely incriminating the Minority Leader and former Deputy Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.

In an interview Felix Ofosu Kwakye, an aide to NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, emphasized the solidity of the evidence.

He stated, “This evidence is indisputable; it transcends mere allegations. The NDC does not engage in baseless accusations. We will present the evidence in the early days of next week, as our chairman has announced.”

Kwakye Ofosu stressed the gravity of Jakpa’s sworn testimony, highlighting the potential legal repercussions if proven false.

He reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to transparency and credibility, asserting, “We are a serious organization, and we urge the people of Ghana to take us seriously. We will not promise evidence without substance.”

Regarding the specifics of the evidence, Kwakye Ofosu indicated that its nature would be revealed on the day of its announcement by the NDC.
