Akwasi Addai Odike, Founder and Leader of the United Front Party (UFP), has launched a scathing attack on former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama, branding him as lacking vision in his leadership.
Odike said that Mahama’s proposed programs and policies reflect a mere desire to extend his previous tenure rather than genuine developmental vision.
According to Odike, Mahama’s pledge to establish a Women’s Bank is emblematic of this lack of vision, questioning its necessity when existing banks cater to women’s financial needs adequately.
Odike advocates for a shift away from political manifestos towards a national agenda, arguing that manifestos lack sustainability. He proposes the adoption of a national agenda entrenched in the constitution to ensure continuity in development efforts across administrations.
Furthermore, Odike emphasizes the importance of constitutional review and the establishment of a national policy think tank to ensure inclusive decision-making and effective implementation of policies for the betterment of the people.
