Trent Alexander-Arnold was officially introduced as a Real Madrid player on Thursday during a formal event held at Valdebebas.
Having completed his medical examinations, Alexander-Arnold was welcomed as a full member of the club in a ceremony led by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez.
Following a video showcasing his best moments at Liverpool, Pérez took the stage to greet the new signing:
“Dear Trent Alexander-Arnold, welcome to Real Madrid. Today is an important day as a player who has achieved everything and left his mark at one of the world’s most prestigious clubs, Liverpool, joins us.
Now, he begins a new chapter of his football journey with Real Madrid.
You could have chosen any club globally, but you chose us—and that will never be forgotten,” he said.
In a surprise to the audience, Trent Alexander-Arnold spoke in fluent Spanish:
“Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you to President Florentino Pérez and Real Madrid for this opportunity. I am very happy and proud to be here; this is a dream come true.
I’m ready to give my all for the team and the Madridistas. I look forward to showcasing my game and winning titles. Thank you, and Hala Madrid!”
