Ghana’s Embassy in Tokyo has announced that it will close on Monday, 20 July 2026, in observance of Japan’s Marine Day public holiday.
In a public notice, the embassy said normal business operations, including consular and other official services, would resume on Tuesday, 21 July.
The mission apologised for any inconvenience the temporary closure may cause and advised members of the public to take note of the revised service schedule.
Marine Day, known in Japan as Umi no Hi, is a national holiday recognising the importance of the ocean to the country’s economic and social development.
