World Vision and ORCC Sign MOU for WASH Services

World Vision’s Southern Regional Office and the Oti Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to deliver universal water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services across the Oti Region.

The initiative will focus on three districts: Krachi West Municipal, Krachi Nchumuru District, and Kadjebi Akan District, aiming to tackle longstanding WASH challenges.

At the signing ceremony, Regional Coordinating Director Rev. Harry Nii expressed gratitude to World Vision for their timely intervention. He reaffirmed the council’s support for the project and urged District Chief Executives to actively monitor and evaluate its progress.

“The ORCC has greatly benefited from World Vision and is eager to support this initiative,” Rev. Nii stated, highlighting the region’s persistent WASH issues.

Irvine Aboagye, Southern Regional Operations Manager of World Vision, acknowledged the organization’s commitment to the Oti Region and thanked the ORCC for its cooperation. He emphasized that the WASH projects would address water and sanitation challenges, improving the quality of life in beneficiary communities.

Robel Wamisho, Associate WASH Director of World Vision, encouraged stakeholders to remain dedicated to the initiative. He assured attendees that World Vision would continue to work diligently, foster collaboration, and maintain open communication, welcoming new ideas to enhance the project’s impact.

The ceremony concluded with the signing of the MOU documents between World Vision and the three districts, outlining projects planned to run over the next five years.
