Teen Injured in Tricycle Crash at Potsin Junction

A 16-year-old motor repairer is fighting for his life after being involved in a tricycle accident at Potsin Junction in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

Eyewitnesses say the teenager was performing reckless stunts with the tricycle, commonly known as aboboyaa, when he lost control, causing it to overturn.

He was initially taken to the Potsin Polyclinic but was later transferred to the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba due to the severity of his injuries.

One eyewitness, Ebo Anderson, told Adom News that the young man is known in the community for riding motorbikes recklessly after work hours.

“He took the tricycle out for a spin, but his careless riding caused it to flip over, leaving him in a critical state,” Mr. Anderson said.

Doctors at the Winneba hospital confirmed that the teenager sustained multiple fractures in his right leg, with both bones severely damaged.
