President John Dramani Mahama has announced that the Constitutional Review Committee will submit its final report on proposed amendments to Ghana’s constitution on December 22, 2025.

The Committee, chaired by Professor H. Kwesi Prempeh, has spent several months collecting nationwide input on constitutional reforms and compiling its recommendations.

Speaking at a meeting with the National Peace Council at Jubilee House on Wednesday, December 10, President Mahama noted that the committee had previously shared some preliminary findings during an earlier briefing.

“They met me three weeks ago and presented some of their initial findings. They are quite interesting. The final report will be presented on December 22, and once it is, we will share it with the nation,” he said.

The President also addressed concerns regarding the rights of Muslim students in mission schools. He stressed the importance of faith-based institutions respecting religious diversity and upholding agreements that protect students’ freedoms.

He urged school authorities to strictly follow the Memorandum of Understanding governing mission schools to ensure fairness and equal treatment for all students, regardless of their religious beliefs.
