NIA to Begin Payment of 20% Staff Arrears from January 2025

- NIA to pay 20% arrears owed to staff since January 2025

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced that it will soon begin paying 20% arrears owed to its staff, dating back to January 2025.
At a press briefing held on Wednesday, June 18, the NIA’s Head of Corporate Affairs, Williams Ampomah Emmanuel Darlas, confirmed that the payment has been factored into the Authority’s 2025 budget and has received official approval from both the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission and the Ministry of Finance.
He assured employees that administrative procedures are actively in progress to facilitate the prompt release of the funds.
“Yesterday, the Finance Ministry, under the leadership of Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, confirmed receipt of the request and pledged to fast-track the process by forwarding it to the Controller and Accountant General,” Darlas stated.
“I want to assure all NIA staff that the 20% arrears since January will be paid.”
