The Accra Circuit Court has sentenced Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Nana Agradaa and founder of Heaven Way Champion Ministries International, to 15 years in prison following her conviction on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

She was found guilty of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretences.
According to the court, Nana Agradaa deceived the public through a televised broadcast in 2022, falsely claiming to have spiritual powers to double money. These claims led multiple victims to hand over large sums with the expectation of receiving miraculous financial returns — promises that were never fulfilled.
The court’s decision is being seen as a major step in cracking down on deceptive spiritual practices and religious scams in Ghana.
Prior to sentencing, a mandatory pregnancy test — standard procedure in such cases — was conducted and confirmed that she was not pregnant, allowing the sentencing to proceed.
She appeared in court before Her Honour Evelyn Asamoah, who handed down the sentence.
