Fire destroys two-bedroom apartment in Tsito–Awudome

A two-bedroom self-contained apartment at Tsito–Awudome Gborkorpe in the Volta Region was destroyed by fire on Monday, December 8, 2025, leaving the property completely ruined but causing no injuries.

The Ho Municipal Fire Station received a distress call at 4:54 p.m. and immediately dispatched a team led by Station Officer II Michael Segbedzi. By the time firefighters arrived, the building was already fully engulfed in flames.

The crew carried out a defensive operation to contain the blaze, successfully preventing it from spreading to nearby structures within the compound. The fire was brought under control by 6:30 p.m. and fully extinguished seven minutes later.

The Ghana National Fire Service noted that the swift response prevented what could have escalated into a larger community disaster. No casualties were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
