Another Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing Near Obuasi

Another helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing at Mensonso, near Obuasi in the Adansi District of the Ashanti Region, due to adverse weather conditions.

The incident was confirmed by Joseph Azumah, Member of Parliament for Adansi Akrofuom, during an interview on Adom FM’s Kasiebo is Tasty.

Mr. Azumah noted that the emergency landing likely occurred around 11 a.m., although he initially missed multiple calls from his constituency’s Women’s Organiser informing him of the situation.

He explained that the aircraft, which was en route from Accra to Chiraa in the Sunyani West District of the Bono Region, was diverted mid-flight as a result of poor weather, which made it unsafe to continue.

The helicopter landed near Adansi Brofoyedur, the same vicinity where a fatal crash recently claimed the lives of eight people.

According to the MP, military personnel who were still stationed at the earlier crash site promptly responded to the new emergency.

Though the number of passengers aboard the helicopter has not been officially confirmed, initial reports indicate that no injuries or casualties were recorded in the incident.
